JIT inventory management is only one component of an overall JIT philosophy. The inventory related objectives of the JIT philosophy are two-fold: first, to purchase only those products that are necessary to complete sales at the necessary time; and second, to eliminate unnecessary inventories. Under a JIT approach, product is “pulled” into inventory as a result of sales, rather than “pushed” into inventory to create future demand. Read more…

Step 1. First, carefully consider what kind of help is desired from the spouse/partner. Stuart and Jacobson suggest that the weight manager try to imagine how he or she would like the spouse/partner to respond to particular situations such as a slip, weight loss, weight gain, and dining out.
