Mosaic is the Killer Application of the Internet 2

Mosaic will certainly be the application which will launch the corporate sector onto the Internet in significant numbers. Already, organizations like Novell and Motorola are putting up information services, permitting customers to access support, resource and marketing information. Accessing the Novell site with Mosaic, you can actually page through service and system manuals, much like you might on a Novell CD-ROM.

A Global CD-ROM?

Ignoring how fun and exciting this can be, when we think about Mosaic we realize that it is like a massive, global CD-ROM system.

Given the growth of CD-ROM as an information medium, it is no surprise that people will take to Mosaic with a passion. All over the world, consumers are buying CD-ROM systems for their home computers and for business. CD-ROMs are being used in education, business and the home. Students as young as five years old are accustomed to searching a school or home CD-ROM.

Brain To The Rescue

Once again Brain rushes to save his family, only this time it does not work out so well.

Once again Brain rushes to save the day and his family from danger. Only this time, it did not work out so well.

Brain has always been the “protector” of his family. Taking on all challengers and problems to keep his family safe. This time he took the crazy Tricia into his home thinking he could protect his family from her if he had her watched 24 hours a day but that did not work out so well either. Tricia was able to not only drug him but to get him into bed and have her way with him and accuse him of rape. That does not sound like he was in control of the situation. Is he losing his touch?

REVIEW: Mark Robinson’s Canada’s Green Highways

Mark Robinson’s new guitar pop album Canada’s Green Highways is reviewed.

In the halcyon days of our youth, some of us remember the bitter taste of a shitty album after three brilliant efforts. Whatever the regrettable reason for such lapses, it mars our future music buying. We may even fall prey to paranoia that another favorite band will do the unforgiveable and release a raging slab of rancid dogmeat in place of a decent album. Which is not to say that I expect, or hope, each artist will release exactly the same record for twenty years. But a bit of paranoia goes a long way in averting stupid shit and so here we are, with much trepidation and the fleeting glow of expectation.
