Tracey Abbott Connelly returns and brings along Brad’s now 13 year old daughter to add quite a bit of spice to the summer in Genoa City.

The soon return of Tracey Abbott Connelly is certain to bring a lot of emotions and tensions to the top of the pot in Genoa City. Add to that mix, Tracey and Brad’s now 13 year old daughter and you have quite a recipe for summer tension.

Tracey and Colleen will return and word has it that they will remain on the show for the entire summer. Brad will have a whole other family to deal with and he will have to split his time between his new wife Ashley and her sister Tracey. The show will also surely bring Colleen into the mix with a whole new set of teenage problems for Brad to have to help sort out.

Tracey and Ashley have never been the best of sisters and this summer could be an explosive one if Tracey starts asking questions about Abby’s paternity. Tracey has always been very good at getting to the bottom of things and Ashley might have her hands full trying to keep the truth from her this summer. It could certainly set up a very good sweeps storyline if the baby’s paternity were made the main story.

Since Tracey is not bringing her current husband Steve with her the show is probably going to have them going through some kind of marital strife, maybe even a divorce. This would open up a new scenario with Tracey perhaps wishing for the way things used to be with Brad and Colleen wanting to make her parents into a family again. The possibilities are endless.

I have always been a fan of Beth Maitland who plays Tracey and think she will add quite a lot to the show this summer. Not only do we get a new teen character but we get one of the fan’s favorites returning and possibly being involved in one of the biggest storylines of the year if the show pursues the paternity story. Now that would make for some hot summer viewing!
